Resilience is the process of adapting well in the face of adversity, trauma, tragedy, threats or significant sources of stress, it means “bouncing back” from difficult experiences. It builds on research findings from four relevant fields of study, namely cognitive behavioural therapy, resilience, post traumatic growth and positive psychology
In this 2-day interactive workshop, learners will understand how resilience, hope and optimism interact and affect each other. It also explores the role of cognition and thinking styles in our experience of resilience. The workshop helps to improve learners’ coping strategies during crisis and ability to make good decisions even under stressful environment The programme also aims to help learns develop the ability to thrive and flourish, rather than just to survive, in the face of inevitable difficulties and uncertainties. In a nutshell, the workshop helps the learners to build their ‘resilience muscles’ through identifying their strengths, social support networks, sources of positive emotions and previous experience of resilience.
