With the long-running pandemic, both Students and Teachers have had to adapt quickly and repeatedly to ever-changing circumstances. Many teachers have been reporting heavier workloads and burnout, and students have been expressing more struggles with their mental health.
What evidence-based interventions can schools and educational stakeholders put in place to ease burnout, improve focus, and nurture holistic development?
Positive education may be an answer. It provides invaluable empirical understandings on wellbeing and positive child development. By equipping more stakeholders with this knowledge, they can then create and implement helpful strategies for their unique educational contexts.
In this fireside chat, Dr. Evelyn Rosset shares her experience and insight on ways to ease burnout in schools through positive education. Dr. Rosset is an established Positive Psychology researcher-practitioner, and lectures on Positive Child Development module as part of the Postgraduate Diploma in Positive Education Strategies programme.
Join us in this session, where we discuss:
- How Positive Education can provide solutions for easing burnout in schools
- Potential outcomes from implementing positive education strategies
- Ways that positive education can be incorporated in the digital classroom
The talk will be followed by the Course Preview of Positive Psychology programmes.

About the Speaker: Dr. Evelyn Rosset
An experimental psychologist by training, Evie has spent most of her career with one foot in academia (in teaching and research) and the other one out (exploring real-world applications). She is particularly interested in social well-being and pro-social behaviour – our desire to help others, create connection, and contribute to the greater good.
Her main expertise lies in the fields of positive psychology and nudging, with research interests around collective well-being, altruism, social change, and engagement. In order for society to take full advantage of human beings’ altruistic potential, Evie has developed a MAAC method that is based on the latest research in the psychology of motivation and engagement.
