Relationship Matters: Let’s Talk Affluenza
One of the top three areas of conflict for couples is money. They fight on what to spend on, how much to save, and what is enough. Some couples do not even know how much their partner has in his/her personal bank account. Discussion on money invariably leads to a major fight and disappointment. Are there deeper underlying issues that we are looking at other than money? Is it possible that the meaning and relationship they have with money differs due to their upbringing?
In this session, join couples psychologist, Winifred Ling as she presents a case study on this topic. All participants are welcome to join in the discussion.
At the end of the session, you will:
- Have a greater understanding that there are always two sides to an argument
- Learn how interest and curiosity are important when you argue
- Learn how to have a successful dialogue on hot topics like money in your relationship.
- Learn the rules in fighting fair and constructively
