Overview
Children and youths today are navigating increasingly complex emotional, behavioural, and developmental demands. Across schools, families, and communities, there is a growing need for practitioners who understand how children and adolescents develop and who can respond with care, insight, and confidence.
The Graduate Diploma in Therapeutic Interventions with Children and Youth (GDTICY) is designed for individuals who wish to deepen their understanding of child and adolescent development and use therapeutic approaches in their work with children and youth. The programme supports students in moving beyond surface-level responses, building the psychological understanding and practical skills needed to assess concerns, understand each child’s needs, and plan developmentally appropriate interventions.
Graduates of this programme are prepared to bring their learning into schools, mental health services, and community work. As reflective and psychologically informed practitioners, students are supported in deepening their ability to support children and young people while making a positive and lasting difference in their lives.
