Learn more about our programmes and explore the role of play in children’s mental health.
Play is often overlooked in children’s mental health. More than a time of fun, non-directed play can help children to process complex feelings, develop coping mechanisms, and foster emotional resilience.
Whether you are a parent or someone who works with children, understanding the powerful insights from Play Therapy can help you to support children’s mental wellbeing in powerful ways.
In our upcoming Child Psychology Course Preview, learn from Play Therapy lecturer Lim Shen Yong, who has worked extensively with children, youths and families in the past 10 years, on how play can be used in a multitude of ways to engage and promote child development. This session will also cover:
How play engages children
How to use play in a more intentional and informed way to observe and understand how children use play to relate to themselves and others
How play can support children’s mental health and wellbeing
The preview session also provides a sneak peek into how our Child Psychology programmes can empower you to provide the best support for the children you nurture, whether at home or at work.
What is the course preview about?
This is an opportunity for anyone interested in our child psychology programme to learn more about the course structure, career pathways and entry requirements.
