Delve & Dialogue with Jana Dawson

Discover how aligning your actions with your strengths and interests can sustain the motivation for the New Year.

We are excited to invite you to our upcoming Delve & Dialogue session, where you can ask any questions and engage in a lively discussion with Jana Dawson, Head of Academics at The School of Positive Psychology.

Date: 25 January 2024, Thursday
Time: 7.30PM – 9.00PM
Location: The School of Positive Psychology

Ringing in the new year often comes with new resolutions made. However, sustaining the “New Year, New Me” momentum isn’t always as easy, resulting in incomplete resolutions. If this scene is all too familiar for you, it could be that you have not found the right “why”.

Join us in this Delve and Dialogue session for a rich and insightful discussion on how you can stay motivated by optimising your strengths and finding the right “why” when setting your New Year resolutions. We will also explore how aligning your action plans with your strengths and engaging your interests can help you enter into flow, helping you stay motivated and encouraged. At the end of the day, another failed New Year resolution impacts our confidence and sparks negative emotions. Let’s start 2024 by setting ourselves up for success!

To make the most of this session, we strongly encourage you to come to this session with a resolution in mind.

Some of the topics we will be exploring includes:

  • What is the difference between the “right why” and the “wrong why”?
  • How does setting resolutions using a strengths-based approach differ from traditional resolution settings?
  • How do you incorporate your strengths into your New Year resolutions?
  • What are the benefits and outcomes of aligning strengths with our New Year resolutions?

We look forward to seeing you at the event and having a lively, educational, and enjoyable discussion with Jana!

*Limited seats available. Registration closes on 24 January 2024!
